Brian's Tree at Maymont

Early this year a family very close to me lost one of its members unexpectedly. This May family and friends met out at Maymont Park to dedicate a tree in his honor. Brian will be forever remembered.

It was truly a beautiful and peaceful day. The family was surrounded by friends. The kids played... and played... and played. The sun shined down on us - and I think Brian and his beloved pooch were there with us, too. I even felt Mr. B wink a time or two.

Baseball Opening Day -Ashland, VA

Ashland Little League - Opening Day
We had a full day of baseball, fun and more baseball!

Cannon and his best buddy, Cole
(Reminds me of Thing 1 and Thing 2 - always together!)

Before the parade, Coach Rob explained to the boys - to "tip their hats"
when someone called their names...
They tipped their hats nicely!

After the parade, we had quite a few hours until our game - so we went to the
Spring Fling held at Patrick Henry High School.
The kids had a blast!
There was a velco climing wall, a dunking booth,
and all of the PH teams had games.

Cannon flying towards the wall...
Carter was stuck to the wall...

She was the cheering squad!

Cannon was 2 for 3 on the dunking booth!
Cole did well with it too...

Daddy had a good time, too, because the guy in the booth talked a lot of smack!

Ryann laughing - love it!

Later the boys were so eager to see the PH Baseball game.
This picture shows them aspiring to be part of the team.

The 2nd batter, 2nd pitch resulted in an injury. The player from Lee Davis High School was hit in the side of the head / face. The boys were very concerned.

Here is what they were watching.

Later in the afternoon, Cannon's team played.

Good Game... Good Game....
Way to go Rays!

Sweet Lil' Baby M...

This angel has the most adorable cheeks in the world!!

Outfishing Daddy!

Easter Sunday we were able to take the kids fishing for the first time
at a family pond...
They had a blast and as soon as they picked up the fishing poles ...
Magic happened!

THE COVETED FISH

Cannon enjoyed the handling the bait...

Ryann caught the first one!

Then she caught the second, third, fourth and fifth. And they kept getting bigger!
Then Cannon started catching them too!
Nice size!!!
And then finally... finally.... Daddy caught one!
(awww Daddy - your tiny little fishy is so darn cute!)
